OUR CAMPS
GOORF(Gearing On Our Rewritten Future) is a faith based camp focused on helping victims of abuse and domestic violence. During the 5-day live-in camp we create a safe environment for children 7-12 to have fun and reclaim their lost childhood. We partner with government organisations and local authorities to bring these children to rebuild trust, plant seeds of hope for their future by experiencing affirmation and acceptance during their time with us.
THE PROGRAM
The program has a 3 children : 2 adult policy that allows each child to have the care and attention they need during the 5 days at camp. Each trained volunteer goes through strict procedures to ensure that a safe environment is built at camp. New memories and confidence are built throughout the time at camp with various indoor and outdoor interactive activities such as water sports, arts & crafts, story-telling and excursions. Through the years we have had the privilege of watching these victims become overcomers.
